Over the past two years Christopher has been working as an action sports videographer with an independent production company and a production manager for a cable television outdoor show. As an aspiring documentarian, Christopher hopes to take his budding skills to the next level at UC Santa Cruz in an effort to produce and direct important social documents that chronicle the lives of the usually ignored people of the world. In 2005 Christopher lived in Northern India for two months, trekking the Himalaya and meeting with local villagers. Here he became interested in the ways in which first world nations affect local communities in developing countries through travel and tourism. As a social documentation graduate student he hopes to explore the subject further, possibly focusing on various communities in the Ladakh region of India where he traveled.
