Part-time Internship

The part-time internship is conducted the quarter before the full-time internship and consists of 6-8 hours per week working with an organization located within a commutable distance from the University.

The goal of the part-time internship is to allow students the opportunity to gain introductory experience working with an organization, while at the same time contributing volunteer hours.

These hours can take the form of helping with whatever the organization needs. We ask that students be given the opportunity to work on specific projects that will give them an idea of how the organization works to reach its goals (helping to produce outreach materials may be one example), though we realize that many internships may also include some light office work.

At the end of the quarter, the student’s supervisor is asked to fill out a brief evaluation form that the student will provide.
